A Physiatrist is required to complete a four-year medical degree followed by a four-year residency program. A Physiatrist’s job is to diagnose injuries, muscle and joint pain, weakness, numbness and tingling, or spine related pain through an extensive medical history, physical examination and diagnostic studies such as X-rays, MRI scans, and electromyography (EMG).
